Angus Roche is a Sydney-based editor and post-production lead with over a decade of experience across documentary, branded content, drama and large-scale digital production. Originally from Melbourne, he began editing professionally in 2014 before relocating to Sydney in 2016 to study at AFTRS. Since graduating he has built a career that spans the cutting room and the production office – as comfortable designing post-production systems and leading editorial teams as he is behind the timeline.
Angus cut his first feature in 2018 – the 85-minute documentary Two Wolves, which premiered at Antenna Documentary Film Festival. He has worked across several indie features and spent nine months as edit assistant on A Fire Inside at Finch, a feature documentary that premiered at Sydney Film Festival and received a national theatrical release. He spent two and a half years as senior editor on the 4WD 24/7 YouTube channel, which hit one million subscribers during his tenure. He is currently a Senior Editor and Project Lead at Viewix, where he helped established the team's post-production infrastructure as the business’s first permanent hire. It has since grown to a team of seven editors and twelve total staff.
Outside of work he is passionate about meditation, chess, and Aston Villa Football Club.
