About

Angus Roche is an emerging Sydney-based editor and assistant editor. With a background in music and specifically drums, Angus brings a precise pace and rhythm to his cuts as well as a strong awareness of sound design. After completing a degree majoring in International Studies and Spanish which included a year-long exchange in Mexico, Angus began freelance editing in Melbourne in 2014 before relocating to Sydney in 2016 to study at the Australian Film Television and Radio School.

Angus edited his first feature film whilst still at AFTRS, an 85-minute documentary titled “Two Wolves”, which premiered at Antenna International Documentary Film Festival in October 2018. Starting from scratch with over 70 hours of footage, putting the film together was an immense learning experience and extremely clarifying on the structure and conventions of an engaging feature-length story. Moving forward Angus will be pursuing a career in long-form editing alongside his work as an assistant editor.
